1. If you are replacing an existing Holley® carburetor, you may need to purchase and install a throttle lever extension (Holley® P/N ) on the carburetor. Remove the throttle stud and nut from the original carburetor. You can purchase a new stud from your Holley® dealer (Holley® P/N ). I have a holley with a manual choke. I removed the choke blade because 3 pumps and waaaa laaa it fires and runs good. I use the choke mechanism though to use the fast idle feature when its cold out and needs it. I simply reach under flip it quick, let it run that way for a few minutes and then reach under hood flip it down quick and off I go. There are 2 sets of screws to install the choke housing. One set is longer for if you need to use the spacers. I think this is only for the 2-barrels. Hold the choke housing with the red cam over the screw in the fast idle lever; if there is a large gap where it will mount, you need to use the spacers, longest screws, and also an offset choke rod.
